School's Out for the Summer!

Well, we're still a few years away from a summer vacation but the reason we're excited about "summer" (ha! right-it's always summer here) is because now we can use the playground at the international school up the street from us! Yay!

Joy!

Buckner Boys Get Dunked

The Buckner boys were baptized a couple of weeks ago! Here are some pics of the ceremony. I took before, during and after shots of them being dunked.

Hanging Around the House

These were all taken at different times during the month of May. Can't ever have too many Maya pics :)

Lounging and watching cartoons. One of Maya and Daddy's favorite pastimes.

Now they can watch cartoons in our bedroom, too! We moved our old TV on top of our dresser.

Can't handle the cuteness!

I love her tye-dye spandex pants!!!
Lolly and Pop sent Maya a special package with lots of fun goodies inside! Here is Maya is modeling some of the new dresses her Lolly made her!

Gorgeous!

Stunning!

On Fridays we've been going to a play group that one of the other ex-pat Moms hosts. They have four boys and one of them had just gotten a sand box-ish thing for his birthday. Maya and Livvy and Noah had a blast playing in the sand. She did let the other kids have a turn, eventually :)

One Last Party

There is always a party happening wherever Ash and Dave are. It was such a GIFT to have them with us for four months!!! We are so thankful for the time we had together! We went up to Surabaya a day early and stayed at a hotel near the airport before we said goodbye. We had a late night pool party...

Maya discovered that she could dunk her Daddy and Day by pushing their heads underwater. This went on for a looooong time. She was very into it!

We'll miss you, Ash and Dave!

Safari Trip!

If you ever come visit us in Indo, one thing you won't want to miss out on is Taman Safari! Somehow we didn't squeeze this trip in until the very end of Ashley and David's time here but we made it there nonetheless! Maya even had a special safari shirt she was wore for the occasion.

Kisses for Uncle Dave (or 'Day' as Maya calls him)

We got SOOOO close to this tiger! There was glass between us and him...don't worry.

What are we gonna see next?

More lions!

And 3 Hungy Hippos

This is becoming somewhat old hat for Maya. Second elephant ride in her 16 months of life.

Brave!

That's Uncle Dave shaking the monkey's hand

At the dolphin show

First time to pet a dolphin. Who gets to do this?!?!

I was actually kinda nervous, if you wanna know the truth.

Ash with some of her favorite animals. Seals!

This girl is tuckered out. We played hard!

Making the long journey back to the car

Check out the bamboo shoots behind them

Fun day!

He is Risen!

Happy Easter! Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving your life for us! Here are some family pics from our Easter here in Indonesia.

Maya was smiling in all three!!!! Miracle! Well, not really...Uncle Dave was the one taking the pictures. No wonder.

Ummm...could she be ANY cuter?!?!

Ok, ok already. It was staged. Maya didn't find any Easter eggs of her own during the hunt. But Ashley and I really wanted a picture of her picking up an egg so we put one right in front of her in plain sight. You do what you gotta do.

She became very involved and interested in this stick. Couldn't put it down for about 10 minutes.

Here she is playing with some other kid's Spiderman action figure during the service. Is there a tomboy deep within?

Me trying to keep up

Headed home
Oh, and by the way, let me just say that I am so proud of Maya's hair bow. I made it! Ok, well, Vikki actually did most of it. But I was there and assisted her. Anyhow, made me so happy that she had a bow that matched her dress exactly!

Seems like a vain comment to make on our Easter post...but I just had to mention it because of how proud I am about it.

Happy Easter, everyone!
